Roy Johansen began his professional writing career with his original screenplay for "Murder 101," written in college and for which he won the national FOCUS (Films Of College and University Students) award, a competition sponsored by Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Martin Scorsese. The screenplay was later produced for cable television and starred Pierce Brosnan. "Choking..Must fight...
No air.
Must break free...
He felt his attacker's hot breath in his ear.
Darkness creeping over him....
It wasn't just breath, he realized as the darkness overtook him.
It was his killer's laughter."

AH! I love Iris Johansen! Every story she writes is so full of intense action and suspense!! I received an ARC of this book, Sight Unseen and couldn't wait to get started!! The action begins immediately from the first turn of the page. I mean, the first sentence of the book is: " Damn, she is going to kill him."

"Fear.
Death.
It was here again, taking her breath, assaulting her."

The reader is brought back into the life of Kendra Michaels. Kendra has been blind most of her life and recently underwent surgery to regain her sight. Because she has lived most of her life blind she has used her other senses to compensate for her missing eyesight. She has super-heightened senses and therefore notices things that a normal person wouldn't.

When an apparent car accident happens on the freeway Kendra immediately notices that the accident is no accident. She rushes to the crime scene and informs the police of her discovery. Kendra also begins to notice that the crimes that are being committed are eerily similar to cases she has solved in the past. Kendra teams up with an old friend, Adam Kyle, from the FBI and together they try to determine who is behind these murders.

Sight Unseen is full of non-stop action, drama, and suspense! Each chapter holds a new twist to this already fascinating story!! Kendra is forced to face one of her old enemies and everyone she loves is in jeopardy!! If you love a good suspense story with some romance interwoven into the story then Sight Unseen is a perfect fit!! I really enjoyed and look forward to what happens next with Kendra!!

  1. I love this kind of books because they have everything you need to make it interesting, it has action, emotion and there are a lot of accidents that certainly seem unnecessary.
