Publisher: G.P. Putnam's Sons BYR

From the New York Times bestselling author of Blue Bloods and Witches of East End
After they cause a terrible accident at their old high school, twin witches Mardi and Molly Overbrook are sent to live with their “Aunt” Ingrid Beauchamp in North Hampton, on Long Island’s mist-shrouded East End. Because the twins cannot control their powers, their father begs Ingrid to tame them over the summer, before the White Council exiles the girls to Limbo.
Trouble continues to bubble and boil when the girls meet the younger Gardiner boys, who are just as handsome and sexy as their older kin. But all is not as it seems. As Ingrid helps the girls learn to control their magical impulses, Mardi and Molly have just this summer to figure out how to grow up, how to love, and how to be a family.

1. What gave you the inspiration to write this book?
I wanted to continue the world of East End, and introduce younger teen characters in it. I thought it would be fun to have sassy teen goddeses, when I read that Thor had twin boys in the myths, I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to turn them into bratty twin sisters? And so Triple Moon was born.

2. Who is your favorite character in the book?
I love spoiled princesses so my heart belongs to Molly, although I think Mardi is a real badass. I love them both. I also like Troy (Thor) because he’s such a hapless single dad and has his hands full. He’s funny.

3. Which came first, the title or the novel?
The titles always come first for me, then I make the story work with the title.

4. What scene in the book are you most proud of, and why?
I like the beginning scenes, when they’re both on their way, one in a vintage Ferrari and one in an Uber limo. I thought the book really starts off fun that way.

5. Thinking way back to the beginning, what’s the most important thing you've learned as a writer from then to now?
Probably that you need to introduce your hero or heroine’s romantic interest in the first 30 pages. I love craft advice. I stick to that in all my books.

6. What do you like most about the cover of the book?
I like the fireworks from their rings, and I love Molly’s braid and cool leather jacket with her white dress. The twins look fab! We got a great model for this shoot.

7. What new release book are you looking most forward to in 2016?
Probably my own. I’m very excited to publish RETURN TO THE ISLE OF THE LOST, which is the sequel to my ISLE OF THE LOST Disney Descendants novel.

8. What was your favorite book in 2015?
SO many to choose from! I loved Six of Crows, Fates and Furies, Why not Me, Big Magic. I can’t choose! Fates and Furies I found really inspirational, beautifully written and tightly plotted. It made me want to write more books, it gave me all sorts of ideas, I was so fired up from reading it.

9. What’s up next for you?
I have a ton of books coming out next year but some of them have not yet been announced, so I can tell you I have RETURN TO THE ISLE OF THE LOST in May, and the third book in the Heart of Dread trilogy, GOLDEN, in April, then a new Summer of East End novel in November.

10. Is there anything that you would like to add?
There is fun bonus content in Triple Moon. The producers of WoEE TV show gave me permission to close up the storylines from Season 2, so I’ve given the characters some closure. It’s fun, I hope they pick up the book!
