LOVED this book! What a beautiful and classic love story! And the name of one of the main characters is Noah...*sigh*....my favorite name!:)
The story starts with a young girl, Rose, being moved to the country with her dad and two brothers after her mothers death. Soon after they arrive at the new house the neighbors come over to introduce themselves and invite the family over dinner. Rose and Noah immediately feel a connection...the only problem....he is Amish....she is Not!
To be 16 and in love for the first time is so exciting! Even more so when it is a forbidden love! I caught myself smiling several times as I was reading the story from both Noah and Rose's perspective. I love when an author does that! That way I know both sides of the story!:) Rose and Noah find themselves giving in to the temptation of being a couple. Once they are caught doing things normal young couples do but not the Amish, they have to make a decision on how to stay together.
In the end Rose decides to give the Amish life a try because of a tragic accident that almost took Noah's life! Will Rose be able to give up everything she has ever know to become Amish?! This book had me hooked from the first page to the last and I immediately started reading the second book in the series Belonging.

I left everything I knew behind.
But it was worth it. He was worth it.
No one thought an ordinary girl like me would last two minutes living with the Amish, not even me. There are a lot more rules and a lot less freedom, and I miss my family and the life I once had. Worst of all, Noah and I aren’t even allowed to see each other. Not until I’ve proven myself.
If I can find a way to make it work, we’ll be NOAH & ROSE together forever.

After reading Temptation I could not wait to start on the next book in the series, Belonging. Rose and Noah's love story continued and grew which made the reader begin to feel they were going to make it! The reader gets a real feel for what the Amish life is like...and let me tell you...it is not for me!
I felt sorry for Rose having to go from her easy carefree lifestyle to having to scrub fences, wash clothes by hand and the list goes on! Knowing Rose was doing all of this just to get to see Noah made you understand the love they shared. After 4 months of letting Rose be Amish I understood when her family stepped in and had their "intervention", however, I did not agree with the lies that they told.
When Rose and Noah were separated by her family it was heartbreaking. I shed some tears! Noah and Rose both found interest in others I was already thinking ahead to the ending with them not being together...I was preparing myself! There were some "confessions" and "surprise" visits that brought Noah and Rose back together.
In the end Rose's dad was still not letting Rose be with Noah and things were left in a mess. I CAN NOT wait to get my eyes on the third book, Forever!!! This is turning out to be one of my favorite series! I give Temptation and Belonging 5 stars!
