It’s time.
Evil is running rampant and sweet Anna Whitt is its target. Nobody knows when or how the Dukes will strike, but Anna and her Nephilim allies will do anything necessary to rid the earth of the demons and their oppressive ways.
The stakes are higher than ever, and Anna is determined that the love she feels will be her strength, not a liability. But trying to protect the ones she loves while running for her life and battling demonic forces proves to be perilous—especially as faces are changing and trust is fleeting. When the Duke of Lust sends Anna’s great love, Kaidan Rowe, to work against her, Anna must decide how much she’s prepared to risk.
In the most sensual and fast-paced installment yet, Sweet Reckoning brings all the beloved Neph together one last time to fight for their freedom.

After earning a bachelors in Creative Writing from George Mason University and a masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Radford, Wendy taught high school English until becoming a mommy. Writing Young Adult (YA) stories gives her the opportunity to delve into the ambiguities of those pivotal, daunting, and exciting years before adulthood.
She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband, daughter, and son. Sweet Evil is her debut novel.
What gave you the inspiration to write this book?
~This final book is all about love, and how love is powerful and worth fighting for—even dying for. So I guess I was inspired by life.
Who is your favorite character in the book?
~There are elements I love about all the characters. I feel close to them. But Kaidan has always been special to me in a bigger way. He’s got so many layers. This book was just as much about his own redemption and self-forgiveness as it was about trying to bring an end to the demons.
Which came first, the title or the novel?
~I think we started brainstorming for a title last year during the early stages of the book. I put it out there on Facebook, and people started giving ideas. Reckoning was used by one of the girls who commented, and when I told my editor she loved it.
What scene in the book are you most proud of, and why?
~There are quite a few scenes that I love in this book—the entire chapter “Impatient Freckles” played through my mind for months leading up to the actual writing of it. But I think the lines that I love most in this book are the very last ones in the epilogue. Every time I read them I get misty-eyed.
Thinking way back to the beginning, what’s the most important thing you’ve learned as a writer from then to now?
~Write what’s on your heart. Don’t write what you *think* people want.
What do you like most about the cover of the book?
~I love pretty dress covers as much as the next person, but I was very happy they decided to put a hot guy on the cover too.
What new release book are you looking most forward to in 2014?
~Dead of Winter by Kresley Cole (Poison Princess book #3!)
What was your favorite book in 2013?
~I read White Hot Kiss and Stone Cold Touch for Jen Armentrout and fell hard for those as a beta reader (they are both 2014 books, though). I loved Eternal Knight by Kresley Cole.
What’s up next for you?
~Well, I just self-published my Irish fantasy, See Me, and that’s been fun. My family is making a huge move this summer, so things are kind of crazy right now. I have a fantasy in the works based on a Grimm Fairy tale, and I hope to get back to work on that soon!
Is there anything that you would like to add?
~Just a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported Sweet Evil and Sweet Peril! I’m so excited for Sweet Reckoning to be in readers’ hands!
