I saw that Kathy @ I Am A Reader Not A Writer was hosting a blog tour for Motherhood Matters and I jumped at the chance to be on it. I never knew what my calling was until I became pregnant with my son, Preston. Now I know..I was put on this earth to be a mother. I love being a mother more than anything in the world. It is a hard but rewarding job and my greatest accomplishment. I love this next quote from Motherhood Matters.
"Motherhood is a divine calling, not an afterthought."
I love the fact that Connie Sokol has written a book not only to mothers but about mothers. It is nice to see that others feel the same way. I love that she says:
"Motherhood is the very essence of who we are."
Now that is so true. Our children are examples of us as parents.
Connie brings up alot of spiritual factors in this novel and I was in awe of this. When I first gave birth to my son...I mean what a miracle. At that moment there would never be any doubts that there is a God. Children are a true blessing and a gift from God and we as mothers have the greatest responsibility to them to make sure they live their life as God would have wanted.
All in all this is full of wonderful yet true examples of being a mother and portrays the utter truths about motherhood. I loved every moment of it.
