Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Most Unique Books I've Read

Top Ten Tuesday is brought to you by

This week's Top Ten Tuesday is:
Top Ten Most Unique Books I've Read (maybe the MC was really different, maybe it was the way it was written, a very unique spin on a genre or topic, etc.)

The books I have chosen are in no specific order.

1. Graceling by Kristen Cashore
This book opened my eyes to high fantasy and made me an immediate fan. I had never really "loved" high fantasy until this book and afterwards I was completely obsessed.

Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)

2. Between The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea by April Genevieve Tucholke
WOW..This book introduced me into the YA Horror genre with a BANG! I loved every aspect of it and Tucholke's writing is just beyond captivating.

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (Between, #1)

3. The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda
The Hunt is a "vampire" novel that is actually written about a world where vampires rule and humans are the minority. This is a totally different view than any vampire books out there currently and I loved it. It helped you connect with the characters and their story of survival.

The Hunt (The Hunt, #1)

4. Throne of Glass by Sarah Maas
This was another book that threw me into the high fantasy genre but also had a female kick-ass heroine who had me from the first chapter. Celaena is one of my most favorite female characters EVER...

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)

5. Sanctum by Sarah Fine
Sanctum is a novel that is in a genre all by itself. It is a pyschological thriller that is absolutely phenomenal. This book kept me emotionally attached till the last page. Incredibly written and perfect for the YA genre.

Sanctum (Guards of the Shadowlands, #1)

6. Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers
I had never really been into historical fiction until I read this book. Grave Mercy was an YA historical romance/suspense book that is easily one of my most favorite books ever. The historical aspect and the power of the characters will stay with me forever.

Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1)

7. Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
Most YA books are written where good always wins. This book is written where evil is more powerful and sometimes it takes a little more evil to really achieve your destiny. This series is by far one of my most favorite ever.

Sweet Evil (The Sweet Trilogy, #1)

8. The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
A young girl who can sense dead people??? Yeah this one knocked my socks off. Enough said....

The Body Finder (The Body Finder, #1)

9. Faking Normal by Courtney Stevens
I have never really been into YA contemporary/realistic books but I gave this one a chance....and I am so glad I did. This book was so real and so captivating. The main character was written with so much feeling and I felt as thought I was experiencing every horrible memory with her....Truly loved this book.

Faking Normal

10. Fire & Flood by Victoria Scott
Seriously...What words can I describe that will do this book justice? I am not sure there are any...This is hands-down my favorite book of 2014. I love the introduction of "Pandoras" and am completely and utterly obsessed with this series. Please READ this and you will understand...IT IS AMAZING.....

Fire & Flood (Fire & Flood, #1)

  1. I agree with Sweet Evil and Throne of Glass. Fire & Flood was quite different in setting in itself and BTDATDBS had a brilliant gothic setting! I guess I need to check out the rest of your list!
