Librarian Callie Barnes has visions of reading and relaxing—and maybe having a few too many drinks—on her girls’ weekend away. Her hopes are crushed when her friends pull into a dude ranch instead of a spa, and she refuses to say longer than one night. That is…until she realizes the ranch is owned by sinfully sexy, and dangerously rugged, Wes Braden—the subject of her late-night fantasies.
Fearless rancher Wes Braden thinks he’s the luckiest guy on the planet when the sweet, sexy librarian from his hometown shows up at his ranch. Their connection is white-hot, making it impossible for either to ignore their carnal desires. Wes is more than willing to convert sweet Callie from chick lit to a world of erotic romance, but Callie ties sex to love, and Wes avoids commitment like the plague.
Callie is thrust into physically demanding activities that ignite her deepest fears. Luckily, Wes is as tender as he is strong, and he’s there every step of the way to help her find her inner strength. With Callie’s influence, Wes might even discover that he’s been nursing a few fears of his own. Passion pulls Callie and Wes from their safe, comfortable lives into each other’s arms, and they’re about to find out just how alike they really are.

TakenByLove-JAKE_FINAL-2-17-14-266x400Daisy Honey fled Trusty, Colorado, after years of battling rumors sparked by her gorgeous looks and lust-inducing name. Now a physician on the brink of a promising career, she reluctantly returns home when her father is injured in a farming accident. Daisy expects the small-town girls who hurt her in the past to take cheap shots again—but she’s completely unprepared for a run-in with tall, dark, and wickedly sexy Luke Braden, the only man who has ever stood up for her—and the man she’s never forgotten.

Luke Braden is handsome, wealthy, and the best damn gypsy horse breeder in the Midwest. After a restless youth, he’s finally ready to settle down—only connecting with women is nothing like connecting with horses, and he’s never met a woman worth the energy. After an arrest in a neighboring town, Luke’s past comes back to haunt him, and he realizes that his inability to find love runs deeper than he ever imagined.

A chance encounter sweeps Luke and Daisy into a world of passion. For the first time ever, Luke feels a connection, but Daisy’s life in Trusty is anything but permanent, and Luke can’t manage a future until he puts his past to rest.

Another amazing Braden love story!!! This family just keeps getting better! This time the reader gets to meet some of the Braden cousins that live in Trusty...I mean how cute does a town named Trusty sound!!! Daisy Honey faced some harsh gossip in high school and she vowed to never live in Trusty after graduating. Daisy went to med school and had job offers in two big cities but her daddy got hurt and she was needed back home. She told herself it was only for a couple of weeks but then she ran into Luke Braden...the one good memory from high school! Will Daisy and Luke just have a HOT fling or will one of them change their life plans?! If you liked any of Melissa Foster's other books then you will LOVE this one! I give it 4 stars!

Fiction Addiction Book Tours, Review, & Giveaway: Open My Eyes (Jennifer Collin)

Open My Eyes Tour Banner

Displaying Open My Eyes.jpg
Everything happens for a reason, they say. And sometimes the reason is you're stupid and make bad decisions. Sleeping with her sister's best friend is one of the dumbest things soon-to-be divorcee Emily Evans has ever done. But she's determined to put it behind her and move on. She's walked away from her cheating husband, managed to make a new friend, and found herself a real job and somewhere to live so she doesn't have to couch-surf any more. Everything should be falling into place but for one problem – there are some mistakes from which you can't move on.
Meanwhile, Ben Cameron is getting on with his life. After all, it's the only thing to do once your heart has been stomped on by the woman of your dreams. Expanding his business and getting cosy with the girl next door are proving welcome distractions. He's even happy to babysit his nephew, as long as he can to hand him back when he's done! And thankfully, Emily Evans, the woman with the heavy boots, is avoiding him like the plague.

But Emily can't avoid him forever, and when she drops a bombshell that turns Ben's world upside-down, suddenly, getting on with his life takes on a whole new meaning.

Jennifer Collin writes quirky, and sometimes gritty, love stories about ordinary people dealing with what life throws at them. She lives in Brisbane, Australia, with her husband, two noisy children and a cantankerous cat. She used to party, but now her idea of a good time is an uninterrupted sleep. These days, her characters do her partying for her, and she doesn't necessarily let them sleep.

Fiction Addiction Book Tours: Review & Giveaway: A Jersey Affair (Georgina Troy)

AJA TB

A Jersey Affair (Jersey Romance Series, #2)
Jilted by the man she was expecting to marry, Paige Bingham, a shoe designer from Jersey, decides to enjoy her honeymoon-for-one in Sorrento. What she doesn’t expect is to meet a mysterious entrepreneur, Sebastian Fielding, when she gets to Italy. Sebastian helps soothe her faith in men and gradually the pain recedes from her battered heart, as he introduces her to the beautiful sites he knows and loves. Unfortunately, not long after Paige returns from her trip, she discovers that not only is this handsome man’s company taking over the struggling store where her business is based, but that her concession is probably going to be surplus to his requirements.

How can Paige stop her fledgling shoe design business from falling apart? And what can she do to restore her reputation now that the newspapers have published their untruths about, A Jersey Affair?

Georgina Troy lives in Jersey near the sea – well, most people do in an island only 9 miles x 5 miles - she’s always wanted to write and being an impossible romantic is always falling in love with heroes both real (hopefully), in fiction (definitely) and those of her own creation (absolutely).

A Jersey Affair is the second in a series of stand-alone romances based in Jersey, which Georgina hopes you’ll read, enjoy and maybe tell your friends about. The first book, A Jersey Kiss is out now.

Great book! Poor Paige had been dumped by her fiance for her best friend. Paige decides to go on her honeymoon alone to try to get over her ex. The last thing she wanted to do was meet a man but she could not resist the charm of Sebastian. Paige and Sebastian spend two weeks getting to know each other and decide to meet back up when he comes to her hometown for work. When Sebastian learns that his work will probably be harmful to Paige's shoe company he decides to keep the information to himself. Bad Decision!!! Paige finds out and is NOT happy. The story is full of drama and romance! I would for sure recommend this for your upcoming summer book list! I give it 3.5 stars!

Fiction Addiction Blog Tours Review & Giveaway: Tiny Acts Of Love (Lucy Lawrie)

Fiction Addiction Book Tours

Displaying TinyActsofLove RGB Med.jpgPaperback, 256 pages
Expected publication: March 6th 2014 by Black and White Publishing

Surviving motherhood? It's all about having the right support network.
Lawyer and new mum Cassie has a husband who converses mainly through jokes, a best friend on the other side of the world, and a taskforce of Babycraft mothers who make her feel she has about as much maternal aptitude as a jellyfish.
Husband Jonathan dismisses Cassie’s maternal anxieties, but is he really paying attention to his struggling wife? He’s started sleep talking and it seems there’s more on his mind than he’s letting on. Then sexy, swaggering ex-boyfriend Malkie saunters into Cassie’s life again.
Unlike Jonathan, he ‘gets’ her. He’d like to get her into bed again, too…
And on top of all her emotional turmoil, she also finds herself advising a funeral director on ghost protocol and becomes involved in an act of hotel spa fraud, never mind hiding cans of wasp spray all over the house to deal with the stalker who seems to be lurking everywhere she looks. Marriage and motherhood isn’t the fairytale Cassie thought it would be. Will her strange new world fall apart around her or will tiny acts of love be enough to get her through?
Funny, perceptive and real, Tiny Acts of Love portrays the rawness of motherhood, the flipside of love and the powerful lure of paths not taken.

Lucy Lawrie was born in Edinburgh, and gained an honours degree in English Literature from Durham University before going on to study law. She worked as a lawyer in Edinburgh for several years, specialising in Employment and Pensions law. When Lucy was on maternity leave with her first baby, she unearthed a primary two homework book in which she’d stated, in very wobbly handwriting: ‘I want to be an AUTHOR when I grow up.’ To appease her six-year old self, she began writing her first novel.

Let me start by saying...Cassie, I feel you girl!! Being a first time parents is hard! I really could relate to the main character in this book. From the very first page I was drawn to this story! I would have killed my Jonathan, the husband and dad, for sending that email if I were Cassie!

This book tells the story of Cassie and Jonathan. First time parents to a beautiful little girl, Sophie. After Cassie gives birth something just does not feel right. She tries to tell Jonathan about her worries but he does not seem to want to listen to her...neither do her doctors. As a reader I was really concerned about Cassie! I was praying the entire time that nothing will happen to her! Jonathan has his own issues to deal with, which keeps the reader intrigued!

When Cassie goes back to work part time they ask Jonathan's mom, Dita to come live with them. Dita seems like the ideal Grandmother and house guest until an old lover turns but on their doorstep! DRAMA!!! Will Cassie be ok? Will Jonathan and Cassie make their marriage work?! I would for sure recommend this book! I give it 4 stars!!

Fiction Addiction Book Tours Spotlight & Giveaway: Finding Mother (Anne Allen)

Fiction Addiction Book Tours

Prepare to be swept away by a heart-warming tale of family relationships and love
Three women. Three generations. Sacrifices for love…
Who is she really? Nicole is about to find out as she searches for her real mother; the woman who gave her away at birth. With her marriage in tatters, she sets out from England: travelling to Spain, Jersey and Guernsey before the extraordinary story of her real family is finally revealed.
Nicole becomes an unwitting catalyst for change in the family. Two women are forced to reveal long-buried secrets. One going back as far as the Second World War. Lives are transformed as choices have to be made and the past laid to rest…
This contemporary romantic drama is the second of The Guernsey Novels, a series of stand-alone books by the award-winning author Anne Allen. It is likely to appeal to lovers of the works of Joanna Trollope and Maeve Binchy.

"A sensitive, heart-felt novel about family relationships, identity, adoption, second chances at love… With romance, weddings, boat trips, lovely gardens and more, Finding Mother is a dazzle of a book, a perfect holiday read." Lindsay Townsend, author of The Snow Bride.

I'm a late-comer to writing, having only started in my, ahem, middle years. (I'm assuming we'll all be living to 100 from now on, won't we?) I'd often had an 'itch' to write but was focussed on my career as a psychotherapist and bringing up three children on my own. Writing was a luxury I simply could not afford! Then a few years ago I was a reluctant entrant (pushed by my mother!) into a writing competition run by Prima magazine. They wanted a True- Life story and I won the first prize of £500  So I decided that writing wasn't such a bad idea and wrote my first novel, Dangerous Waters, shortly after; eventually publishing it in 2012. As I'm now more or less retired as a therapist I've devoted a lot more time to writing and published my second novel, Finding Mother, in October 2013.

A restless soul, I have moved around the country quite a bit, as far north as Scotland and south to Guernsey in the Channel Islands. I've learnt that the sea must be part of my soul and am happiest when living near it. I now live in Devon to be near my daughter and grandchildren so I have the best of both worlds. As a family we lived in Guernsey for many happy years and I left one son behind as a valid excuse for frequent return visits. My other son's based in London so great for when I need some culture
Am happiest in warmer climes, however, and lived in Spain for a few years. My ideal would be to spend part of the English winter somewhere warm, possibly Spain, so that I can recharge my body and soul. So, if and when I write that bestseller…!

My favorite family, the Braden's! This time one of those HOT Braden boys is falling in love in New York City. Josh Braden knew from a very young age that he wanted to be a designer. He followed his dreams and made a name for himself in the big city. During a visit home at the ranch his brother showed him some designs from a local Weston woman, not just any woman but the one Josh had a crush on when they were in school together. Riley had always had a crush on Josh too but thought of him as unattainable. When Josh asked her to come to New York and work for him she could not believe it!! Her dreams for becoming a big time designer were coming true and she was going to be working with Josh!!!! Josh and Riley could not resist each other every long....will it work out for them?! I highly recommend this book!! Can't wait to read the other books in this Love in Bloom Series! I give it 4 stars.
