The Chosen Series Book One
Genre: Paranormal Romance/Action
Angelo searched for the one to save them for centuries. Never in his wildest dreams did he expect it to be a girl. From the beginning, he was drawn to her, but how could such a slip of a girl be the one to save mankind. He was supposed to train her and explain what she was, but how could he do his job and resist her at the same time? Could he put attractions aside and focus on his job and what he needed to do?
It was just supposed to be a fun night at their small town carnival, but a bizarre encounter with a mysterious fortune teller changed Erin's life forever. Then there was the stranger, the man who she literally ran into. A beautiful stranger that wouldn't leave her thoughts and who suddenly haunted her dreams. Something about him pulled her to him, like an anchor sinking to the bottom of the ocean. Little did she know her life was about to change when he revealed to her that she wasn't exactly human, and that she was destined to fight the most powerful evil on earth.
Erin's life collided with Angelo's, and now they are both in for a ride as they fight for the world, and fight their attraction for one another.

About the Author:I'm a born and raised small town girl. I love fishing, camping, big and loud trucks, but don't let my boots fool ya, I can slip out of my boots and into a pair of heels in no time flat! I love books and movies and it seems that there is never enough time to read or watch them all. I bake and decorate cakes (in my free time) pffft what's that right?
My husband is my world. He has been my cheerleader as I strive to achieve my writing goals; he's helped pick me up and dust me off when I get rejected; he laughs with me, and more times than not he laughs AT me, and he lends a shoulder for me to cry on. He's my rock but more importantly he is my best friend. We have two beautiful sons, Dillyn (8) and Traben (2). They are my angels and by becoming an author I want to show them that their dreams can come true. I have something that not many people can brag about. I have my parents (both amazing God Fearing people married 31 years) and my AMAZING in-laws (married 44 years) these two couples are part of my inspiration. I am also fortunate to call my three younger brothers my best friends. I have a few close friends that have helped me come so far. I value my relationships and treat them all like rare gems, because they are all special and unique in their own way. I love making people laugh, no matter what. Life is too short to be so serious all the time.
Writing has always been a dream of mine. It's been a comfort when I'm hurting and an outlet when I'm mad. It is my security blanket.
1. What gave you the inspiration to write this book?
~~ I’ve always written historical romance/pirate romance novels. I wanted to branch out, just to see if I could do it. I found out that it’s quite fun to let my imagination run with wildly “out there” ideas.
2. Who is your favorite character in the book?
~~ Out of the first book, I would have to say Blaze. But, out of the entire series, I would have to say Lucy.
3. Which came first, the title or the novel?
~~The story I suppose, because as the book took on a life of its own, the title, as well as the entire premise, began to change into something completely opposite than my original intentions.
4. What scene in the book are you most proud of, and why?
~~ In all three of the books it would have to be the heart wrenching scenes at the ends. But my favorite out of the entire series would have to be the very last scene in Final Redemption.
5. Thinking way back to the beginning, what’s the most important thing you’ve learned as a writer from then to now?
~~ That it’s okay to not write on a daily basis. By forcing myself to write, I am forcing the story to go in the direction I want it to go, instead of where the story wants to take me. I can write pages and pages full of notes and character developments, but the minute I open the screen to write, the story comes to life for me, completely disregarding all notes and preparations. I learn from my stories because they take me on a road and nine times out of ten I find out something about myself along the journey. It’s quite an eye opening experience.
6. What do you like most about the cover of the book?
~~ I love how they are all each individually their own, but stilled tied together.
Fallen cover is about Erin coming into her destiny.
Risen is about walking through the proverbial fire to save the ones we love.
Final Redemption is a little bit lighter, showing the hope.
7. What new release book are you looking most forward to in 2013?
~~And With Madness Comes the Light (Experiment in Terror #6.5)
~~ Come Alive (Experiment in Terror, #7)
8. What was your favorite book in 2012?
~~I don’t have a singular favorite book from 2012. I read a lot last year. My favorite series though was the Experiment in Terror series by Karina Halle.
9. What’s up next for you?
~~I’m currently working on my newest book UnderCity. Hopefully, I’ll be releasing by the end of March or early April. People can check out the cover and a teaser on my blog. www.christinejames28.blogspot.com
10. Is there anything that you would like to add?
~~ Thank you so very much for taking your time to help with this tour. I appreciate it more than words can even express. And, I love hearing from fans. I try to answer each and every letter and comment I get. I love meeting new people.
