CLP Blog Tours & Interview: And Then There Was You (Suzy Turner)

Three years ago, Eve Brooke had the most passionate, memorable night of her life. Unfortunately, it was with a man who wasn't her husband.
Can infidelity be forgotten? Not when her one night stand moves in next door, it can’t.

Eve Brooke has a pretty good life. She’s married to Matt, her childhood sweetheart, has an interesting career and lives in a nice house in the suburbs. If life is so perfect why did Eve sleep with a complete stranger during a trip to London? And why, three years later did he have to move in next door with his beautiful wife? As the attraction between them flares up again, Eve begins to question her marriage and wonders if it is fate or coincidence that has brought them back together…

Although Suzy is a Yorkshire lass at heart, she left her home town of Rotherham, UK, to move to Portugal with her family when she was ten. The Algarve continues to be her home, where she lives with her childhood sweetheart, Michael, two neurotic dogs and a cat who thinks she's a princess.
Shortly after completing her studies, Suzy was offered the position of trainee journalist for a local English newspaper. Her love of writing developed and a few years later she moved on to become assistant editor for the region's largest English language publisher. Since then she has also worked as the editor of one of the Algarve's most loved monthly lifestyle magazines. Early in 2010 however, Suzy began working as a full time author. She has since written several books: Raven, December Moon, The Lost Soul (The Raven Saga), Daisy Madigan's Paradise, The Ghost of Josiah Grimshaw, The Temporal Stone, Looking for Lucy Jo (The Morgan Sisters), Forever Fredlessand And Then There Was You.

1. What gave you the inspiration to write this book?

Hi Beth! It was actually a conversation with friends about relationships that gave me the initial spark of an idea. And then I was listening to that song, All I Wanna Do is Make Love To You about a one night stand and I was raring to get started on it lol!

2. Who is your favorite character in the book?

Oh that's a tough one. I obviously love the main character but I do have a soft spot for Lisa, her close friend. I can't say too much though!

3. Which came first, the title or the novel?

The novel. The title just sort of popped into my head towards the end.

4. What scene in the book are you most proud of, and why?

Well, I'd never written any sex scenes before so I'd have to say I'm quite proud of those scenes because I was always a little bit of a prude before (according to my sister!).

5. Thinking way back to the beginning, what’s the most important thing you’ve learned as a writer from then to now?

The most important thing I've learned as a writer? Hm? Probably that if you put your heart to it, you can achieve anything :)

6. What do you like most about the cover of the book?

Probably the fact that I did it myself. My usual cover designer was fully booked up so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm quite proud of the result.

7. What new release book are you looking most forward to in 2015?

The third and final book in The Marchwood Vampires series by Shalini Boland. I just totally fell in love with the first two books.

8. What was your favorite book in 2014?

There are so many but Pulled Beneath by Marni Mann was pretty awesome. It was the first time I'd read a New Adult book and it blew me away.

9. What’s up next for you?

In the new year I'm going to start writing the next book in The Raven Saga (YA). I hadn't actually intended to write more as it was initially planned as a trilogy but lots of readers have expressed interest in reading more. After that I'll be writing the fifth and final book in The Morgan Sisters series (also YA) and then I'd like to finish Aphrodite's Closet - a chick lit novel I've been planning for some time.

10. Is there anything that you would like to add?

Thank you so much for having me on your awesome blog. This has been a lot of fun. Oh and Happy New Year!!
